Phone declutter7/23/2023 ![]() My dock currently holds my Phone, Camera, and Settings app and Safari and I find it so much less distracting now! ![]() I recommend keeping your dock as minimal as possible and removing any apps (aside from maybe your Phone app) that receive a lot of notifications so that you have more control about when you see those notifications. This can make a huge difference in the way you use your phone! If you have an iPhone, this is a good time to be intentional about which apps stay in the dock at the bottom of your screen as well. It’s really up to you to decide what your goal is in organizing your phone and which method will meet that goal in the best way! Minimize your dock on iPhone. Any combo of the above options (eg, by topic, labelled with emojis or by usage, then in alphabetical order).By usage (putting necessary apps on one page and distracting apps on another can help you use your phone more intentionally).By topic (putting work apps, shopping apps, social media apps, etc… together can help you stay focused on one thing at a time).With emojis (using emojis to label your folders is fun and cheerful).By color (great if you want something that’s aesthetically pleasing).Alphabetically (makes apps easy to find).Here are some great options for organizing your apps and folders: To create folders, you’ll want to drag one app icon onto another app icon until the new folder appears. ![]() To move your apps around, simply long press on one and then drag it to where you want to place it. You can also use an app like Nova Launcher for this purpose. On Android, you should be able to find an option to hide apps in your settings or app drawer.
